9 Young Chefs Factory Visit with Hospitality Training
Supporting our Young chefs was on the agenda when Hospitality training visited the McWilliam butchers factory.
9 students took time out of their busy schedule (some on their day off) to spend a few hours on site with Kev Shand to learn more about the wholesale butchery industry and the processes that it takes to supply the North-East of Scotland 6 days per week. It was important for them all to gain more of an understanding of the wholesale butchery environment most of which were a little shocked of the scale of which McWilliams operates to on a daily basis
They started off the day with a brief overview of the history of GMcWilliam Ltd followed by a detailed factory walk round which included some hands on Natural skin haggis making, boning a Whole chicken & a demonstration from Eddie one of our Master butchers on some Speciality selected Pork & Scotch Lamb
These types of visits are vital for the future of our industry
